Accommodation
During Tour de Pancreas we stay at Camping Carpe Diem in Vaisson-la-Romaine. We will then have booked accommodations for everyone and at the beginning of August we will make the final division in consultation about who will spend the night in which accommodation. Tour de Pancreas starts on Wednesday, September 13, but you may prefer to arrive on Thursday. This is not a problem and you can inform us in advance.
Vaison-la-Romaine is known for its important cultural heritage. It is the largest archaeological site in France. Camping Carpe Diem is located 1.5 km from the city center and offers a panoramic view of the medieval castle and Mont Ventoux. This 9-hectare campsite, two thirds of which is forest, will be our home base during the Tour de Pancreas. During the weekend we stay as a group in luxury mobile homes that are fully equipped.
From Vaisson-la-Romaine you are at the foot of Mont Ventoux in 10 kilometers. An ideal distance to warm up before climbing Mont Ventoux. In addition to Mont Ventoux, there are numerous cycling routes in the area. As a participant in Tour de Pancreas, we will give you all the tips on this during the first two training days on Thursday and Friday.
